Sanwa Chemical was founded in 1947 through industry-academia collaboration. Since then, we have continued to develop and market unique specialty chemical products and celebrated our 75th anniversary in 2022.

In the pharmaceutical field, we utilize GMP-controlled synthesis technology and have established a system that can handle everything from lab scale to plant scale. For cross-linking agents used in electronic materials, we have expanded our facilities and improved our supply capacity, making it possible to supply higher quality products. We also design these chemicals.

We are capable of removing metal ions from chemical compounds, leaving only parts per billion (ppb) levels, and offer such products. Additionally, we are developing various non-halogen flame retardants that comply with various regulations and are environmentally friendly.

In order to become a company of outstanding value, Sanwa Chemical is determined to take on all the challenges demanded by customers and markets, make greater efforts than ever before, and contribute to a sustainable society in the future.

  • Nippon Carbide Industries Co., Inc., Kobe Materials Co., Ltd and Tokyo Institute of
    Technology Professor Kiichiro Sugino established Sanwa Chemical industry Co., Ltd together.
  • Sodium Alginate manufacture start.
  • Sulfamerazine industrialization test start.

  • A company name is changed to Sanwa Pure Medicine.
  • Sulfamerazine (Synthetic Antibacterial Agent) manufacture start.

  • We acquired industrial land in Hiratsuka-city, Kanagawa Pref, and started operations the following year.
